Students should read as much as possible in English. Children are encouraged to choose a book from the school library each week. Help your child by reminding them to read at home – television and the internet are no substitute for the educational opportunities contained within a good book!
We have a database system for our books in the library. It is designed to manage member/patron information, and it keeps track of library book circulation. All students are registered in the library organizer to borrow and return books back to the library. We also have a selection of monthly periodicals and we also subscribe to National Geographic Kids.
We are member of the international scholastic book club and we can order books for students on-line as well (www.isbc.co.uk).
Twice a year we've also had book drives where children purchase books for themselves and also some books for the library. Each year we host book fairs in the school with a number of publishers, such as Usborne and Oxford, to give students the opportunity to get to know new and different books as well.
