Pancake day - Shrove Tuesday is a festival celebrated in many countries across the globe. Our students and teachers of Y3P, Y4H and Y4M joined this year´s celebrations of Pancake day in a big style. Firstly, they learned about history of Pancake day and some interesting facts, such as that Shrove Tuesday is the last chance to eat luxury things before the Lent and that we have different names for this day in many countries. Germans call it Fastnach, in France, we say Mardi Gras and in Iceland, Sprengidagur. After some brainstorming and learning, the children finally proceeded to the actual process of making pancakes which was the best part of the day. Thank you to our canteen for providing us with the ingredients and to everyone who contributed with their time and energy. It was the best and the most delicious day ever!
