On 11th November, CIS observed Remembrance day by supporting the Royal British Legion, a charity which supports Serving and Veteran armed forces personnel, by making every poppy count. This year, first poppy was bought by our Executive Director, Mr Aaron King, who was greatly supporting this event and also joined both Primary and Secondary online assemblies on the occasion of Remembrance day. As we remembered the countless men and women of all nationalities who gave their lives in the First and Second World War, and in all conflicts since, we hope international communities like ours at Cambridge School offer hope for the future. A big thank you goes to the British Embassy Bratislava for immense support.
Last week, CIS was observing Anti-bullying week under the leadership of our Head of Primary, Mr Davidson, and encouraged everyone to wear odd socks.
Mr Nigel Baker OBE MVO has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Slovak Republic in succession to Mr Andy Garth. We are very happy to forward you his message.
CIS students, parents and teachers got together to bring you some beautiful autumn atmosphere by sending us some seasonal photos.
On 21st October, Ms Lucia Okšová (one of the authors of Nevyhorení & journalist at Forbes Slovensko) gave a valuable online session on burnout syndrome during Secondary Assembly.
