Project Based Learning - Year 3

What would make a fun and inclusive Playground Game?

In year 3 students have been doing lots of fantastic work on games. They´ve been focusing on outdoor games and games they can play during our play times and our lunch times. The children could clearly interact well together with each other and worked in mixed groups of boys and girls, with students taking different roles within the groups which played to their individual strenths as designers, strategists, creators and presenters. They devised new rules for various active and inclusive games. They managed to create some wonderful games and they focused on their presentation skills as well, explaining their games and the rules to other students and special visitors, before actively demonstrating them with their classmates. The games have all been collated, items sourced and rules published so that these games can now play a part in the daily playground activities of Lower Primary students.
