Project Based Learning in our Secondary School
During the first ever Project Based Learning (PBL) Week, students were asked to design, create, and implement their own project with the minimum possible guidance from teachers. The projects were varied and included creating a Forest School programme for Lower Primary, a sustainable catering plan for the CIS kitchens, a Model United Nations conference focusing on Global Agriculture and developing the possibilities of a living environment on Mars. PBL encourages our students to develop their own ideas, work as a team, take leadership and plan and reflect to ensure success. The projects were fantastically well done and provided the students with the real sense of achievement that only comes from having complete ownership and authority over the programme.
