Teacher of Chemistry
Jakeline Trejos Jimenez graduated from The Slovak University of Technology at the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology Bratislava with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and subsequently obtained her PhD at the same University and a postdoc at Coventry University. She worked in research in the international company PharmaMar in Madrid and later as research fellow at the Shannon Applied Biotechnology Centre ITT in Tralee, Ireland and at the University of Malaga Spain. As a result of this mobility she was able to develop an extensive collaboration between different European countries, achieving more interdisciplinary understanding of biotechnology and the challenges of modern research.
Jakeline joined the teaching profession after achieved an Award in Education and Training from the University of Warwick. Later, she was part of the team who founded BritAcademy Ltd at The United Kingdom and was dedicated to manage and prepare GCSE and A levels students to achieve the best results. Jakeline speaks fluently four languages and enjoys music, especially classical and opera. She loves exercising, healthy cooking, travelling and learning about new countries and cultures.
