Luke Dart

Luke holds a master’s in education from the University of the West of England, where he also gained his bachelor’s degree. Currently, he is studying at the same institution for a Doctor of Education, specialising in international schools.

As an experienced teacher, having worked for almost 20 years in education, Luke has worked in four countries and has led multiple teams in a range of subjects and areas. His career began in the UK, where he soon progressed to become deputy head of his primary school. Yet eager to embrace new challenges, Luke chose to refocus his career by looking for opportunities abroad, where he met his wife, at a school in China. Most recently he has worked as a private tutor, where he has shared great success in supporting individuals navigate both British, and American curriculums.

Throughout his career, Luke has been passionate to balance child-centred learning, with the statutes of the curriculum, so that children are able to access what they have to learn, in a context in which they can all access and thrive. In his last school, Luke volunteered to present how he manages this successfully to a group of fellow teachers at a conference in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Outside of work, Luke is passionate about keeping fit and has recently learned how to ride a motorcycle. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling to exciting new destinations and walking his dog, Basil.
