Project Based Learning in our Primary School

During school's Project-Based Learning (PBL) week 2023, the creativity and ingenuity of our students shone brightly as they delved into the theme of "Where are we going?". The primary school students embarked on a diverse range of projects, each showcasing their enthusiasm for learning and exploration. In Year 2, budding young minds immersed themselves in the world of palaeontology, creating captivating digital comic strips that unraveled the mysteries of how dinosaurs became extinct. Meanwhile, Year 3 students undertook a journey through history by constructing intricate models of games that have withstood the test of time since the era of the Romans, providing a visual timeline of their evolution. Year 4 classrooms were transformed into international space stations, as the students engaged in hands-on activities to understand the necessities of astronauts in the unique environment of space. In Year 5, young engineers applied their skills to craft models illustrating how humans can construct resilient houses capable of withstanding severe weather patterns, demonstrating a keen awareness of environmental challenges. Lastly, in Year 6, aspiring authors embraced their imaginations and penned sci-fi futuristic books envisioning the potential trajectories of humanity in the years to come. The week was a testament to the power of Project-Based Learning in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a passion for exploration among our students.
