Wayne Johnson
Director
Wayne holds a bachelor’s degree in international and political studies from Coventry University and a master’s in education, School Leadership and Management from The Open University.
He began his professional life in the creative industries, working in media and publishing and had the privilege of producing projects such as the UK version of Pop Idol or leading sports content for Vodafone. However, over time, he felt a calling to pursue something more meaningful. That calling led him into the world of education—a decision that has shaped the last two decades of his life in extraordinary ways.
Wayne taught and held leadership positions in international schools across Indonesia, Zambia, Malaysia, Belgium, and now, Slovakia. He also serves as a Lead Visitor on school accreditation visits with NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) and is an active member of numerous educational organisations. Besides that, Wayne coaches and mentors future international school leaders. He is deeply committed to nurturing students academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively. One of his greatest passions as a director is developing student voice and leadership.
Outside of school, Wayne enjoys exploring historical sites, travelling, playing board and video games, and staying active through gym and sports. He loves football and basketball and is a Newcastle United fan. His greatest joy, however, is spending fun time with friends and family.
