Anthony David O'Connor
SEN Coordinator
Anthony completed his Post Graduate Certificate of Education at Coleg y Drindod, Carmarthen, Wales, following a Music degree gained at Middlesex Polytechnic, London. More recently, he returned to university some twenty-five years after his initial studies and completed an MA focusing on education in society, which proved to be both a challenging and rewarding educational experience. Anthony’s professional background as a teacher includes working across all age ranges in both mainstream and specialist educational placements supporting both pupils and professionals; he also spent seven years working at an international school in the Czech Republic. More recently, his roles have included whole school Special Educational Needs Coordinator, Safeguarding lead and whole school mental health lead. Outside the school environment, Anthony’s overriding passion is his life alongside his wife and children; the remainder of his time is spent music making, travelling, reading and socialising.
