Katarína Hricova
Teacher of Slovak
Katarína graduated in Slovak Language and Literature and English Language Teaching from Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. Over the course of her 26-year teaching career, she has taught at various levels: primary school, bilingual secondary school, and language school courses. Before working abroad, she taught in the bilingual English section, where she delivered lessons in English language (grammar and conversation), Slovak language and literature, as well as humanities subjects in English – including introductions to psychology, sociology, political science, and law.
Prior to joining our team, she spent ten years working in an international environment as a seconded teacher of Slovak language and literature at the European School Brussels III in Belgium.
She also has experience as a class teacher and has been an active participant in school projects (Comenius, eTwinning, Erasmus). She has contributed to organising various school activities (school festivals, drama club, TEDx conferences), and has played an active role in planning trips, celebrations, and social events within the school community.
