Jack Coop

Jack graduated from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom with a degree in Sociology before completing his PGCE with English Specialism at Edge Hill University. He has over ten years of experience in Primary education, with a particular focus on Lower Primary.

Before joining CIS, Jack taught in Manchester, UK for two years, where he developed valuable experience working within a school recognised for its SEN practice and dyslexia-friendly approach to learning. He oversees Read Write Inc throughout Primary and serves as Lower Primary Coordinator, supporting teaching and learning across the lower primary phase and helping to ensure consistency, high standards, and a strong foundation for early learning. He brings expertise and a strong passion for phonics, with a commitment to developing fluent and confident readers and writers across the school.

Jack has a strong passion for sport, particularly swimming and water polo, and represented Lancaster University at the British University Championships. Outside of school, he enjoys going to the gym, travelling, and spending time with his wife and two children.
