Lucy Louise O'Brien
Teacher of English / Lower Secondary Phase Coordinator
Lucy graduated from the University of Kent with a degree in English & American Literature. During this time, she spent a year abroad studying and living in Madrid, enhancing her Spanish speaking skills and connecting with multiple Erasmus students.
Before transitioning into education, Lucy worked in the Events and Hospitality Sector in central London, planning and operating VIP events. She then completed her PGCE at UCL, Institute of Education and was employed as a secondary English teacher at a school in East London for three years. It was here that Lucy quickly realised her passion for the pastoral element within teaching and became a Y7 Head of Year. Lucy is deeply committed to shaping young people into the best possible version of themselves, both academically and personally. In 2025, she moved to Bratislava to continue her teaching journey.
With a passion for musical theatre and dance, Lucy is classically trained in ballet and tap and, as a child, performed in the West End production of Les Misérables. She also enjoys traveling, reading and staying active in her spare time.
