Patrizio Mancuso

Patrizio Mancuso

Teacher of Biology / Year 11 Class Teacher

Patrizio comes from a research background: he holds a PhD in Regenerative Medicine from the National University of Ireland (NUIG), where he spent many years working on stem cell therapies for bones and cartilage. He later successfully completed a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) with iQTS through the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom, earning Qualified Teacher Status.

Before joining CIS, he taught at both private and public schools in Vietnam, where two of his students achieved the highest national scores in Cambridge exams. His mission is to reveal the beauty of biology—the science of all living things—and to inspire students to see it as a way to understand the world and themselves. Several of his students have gone on to study life sciences at university level, and he supported them throughout the application process with his mentoring. He is a strong advocate of holistic, student-centered education, where academic challenges are part of personal growth.

Outside the classroom, Patrizio is a passionate photographer, always eager to engage with the local creative community. He is also enthusiastic about physical and mental well-being, enjoying climbing, kickboxing, and meditation.
